Sr. Account Executive



Celadon, one of Indiana’s fastest growing companies, is looking for a Senior Account Executive in its Logistics Division. A Senior Account Executive will coordinate with Supply Chain Managers, Pricing Analysts, and the Operations team to create business solutions and long term business relationships with perspective new customers.  Celadon is looking for a knowledgeable, highly motivated and confident professional to take on this challenge.Responsibilities:

  • Independently Generate new sales revenue with a primary focus on Truckload Brokerage
  • Prospect for leads to build a pipeline, including cold calling
  • Manage accounts to retain existing business and grow share of business
  • Tracking and maintaining all sales activities in the company CRM
  • Using business development skills to identify, qualify, obtain and develop relationships with prospective clients 
  • Maintaining solid understanding of current market conditions and business trends to create offers that will boost company margins
  • Driving profitable revenue and growth year over year through recognition and realization of opportunities
  • Participating actively in growth of division and exceeding team goals
  • Gathering information to make solid independent decisions
  • Collaborate with team members on pricing decisions
  • Participate in regular sales meetings and work with management on goals and forecasting

Job Requirements


  • Must have two years of sales experience with a 3PL, brokerage or related business.
  • Previous experience and success in cold calling
  • Driven by the opportunity to succeed in personal and profession growth and the goal of winning.
  • 4-year or 2-year college degree in business, operations, and/or sales is preferred, but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to sell, navigate through a tough conversation, and listen
  • Willingness to train in other areas of operations within the company
  • Ability to multitask and drive to accomplish tasks in a timely manner
  • Proven self-starter with confidence and high energy level
